Feature Launch —

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok Directly to Your Trading Journal

Every trading journal with an AI feature works the same way: the journal picks the model, bolts a chat box onto the app, and charges you for the privilege. EdgeLock now does the opposite. As of today, Supporter and Edge AI members can connect their own AI — Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, or Claude Code — directly to their journal. As far as we can tell, EdgeLock is the first trading journal to ship this.

What your AI can actually do

This isn’t a copy-paste integration. Once connected, your AI has live, secure access to your journal and can answer questions that normally take a spreadsheet session:

  • “Which of my edges performs best in trending conditions?”
  • “How do I trade when I slept badly?” — sleep, mood, and stress from your daily check-ins are joined to your results, so the answer comes from your own data.
  • “What’s my drawdown look like this month, and how does it compare to my plan?”
  • “Show me my A+ setups before the open.”

It writes, too. Describe a trade in plain English — “short 2 NQ at 18000, stopped flat, out +$250” — and your AI logs it with the P/L and R computed server-side, exactly like the in-app form. End-of-day reflections go straight into your journal.

Guided routines, built in

Three guided flows ship with the connection, available straight from your AI’s prompt menu:

  • Daily check-in — how you slept and feel, today’s economic calendar, a quick review of yesterday, and your plan for the session, all saved to your journal.
  • Log a trade — a short conversation that captures the trade, tags the edge, and ends with one data-backed observation about it.
  • Journal health check — audits your setup itself: do your edges have written definitions and risk settings, are you journaling on the days you trade, is plan adherence being recorded — then walks you through closing the gaps.

Why bring-your-own-AI matters

You already pay for an AI subscription, and you’ve already taught it how you like to work. A baked-in journal AI means a second model you didn’t choose, with usage limits priced into your journal fee. Connecting your own means frontier-model analysis at no extra cost to your EdgeLock plan — and when the next great model ships, you’re a connection away from using it on your trading data.

Security, briefly

The connection uses OAuth — the same standard your AI uses to connect to Gmail or Google Drive. You approve access on an EdgeLock consent screen, your AI never sees your password, and access is scoped to your data only. The AI can read and write journal entries and trades, but it can never delete anything. Revoking access is one click in Settings, effective immediately.

Setup takes about two minutes

Add https://mcp.edgelock.app as a connector in your AI client, sign in, approve — done. Step-by-step instructions for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, and Grok are on the Connect Your AI page. Available on Supporter and Edge AI plans; early adopter pricing is still locked for life on the homepage.
